Twelve months in French oak barriques, 50 per cent new. The fruit has to be amazing to have relished and celebrated this maturation, and now five years on has the first traits of development appearing, too. A rare treat to see this in current-release pinot. Ripe fruit, cherry flesh, subtle woody spices and a sense of gentle earthy tannins. Pinot purity in spades.

95 points.
