A devastating bushfire that tore through the Adelaide Hills on December 20 badly damaged our property. We lost our two sheds, all equipment, 80 of my paintings, a cabin and my car. About 40 per cent of the vines were also affected, mostly by radiant heat. Time will tell if they reshoot and survive to produce more wine.
So many across our beautiful part of the world have been touched by this disaster. My thoughts are with everyone who has suffered losses, particularly neighbouring farmers in Lobethal and Lenswood. It’s a dark time, but I feel sure the community will recover, replant and rebuild.
My family and I are very grateful to everyone who has asked how they can help. Please consider making a donation to the Country Fire Service. Crews from across the Adelaide Hills did a wonderful job during and after the blaze.
We would also really appreciate you purchasing our wine, whether through the website or from your local bottle shop. Many thanks for your support. Here’s to brighter days ahead.
